City Zone Walkthrough

City Zone, this is a really unique and interesting map of Rush Team, also being the oldest. When you play on this map, you will get to experience the REAL Rush Team. This map still is the ideal choice for the Old and Classic players, and is a very good map to play on.

This Walkthough will tell us the Tactics and Spots which can be used by both sides on this map.

My Special Thanks to Shreenath and THOR for helping out through this Walkthrough by Suggesting, Posing and Explorin' ^^

Team 1

Starting off with Team 1, we would cover everything that can be done by you if you choose Team 1.

If you're in Team 1, you have two wide options to take for your Gameplay.

1. Attack

2. Defend

Attack --> This Style would refer to rushing around the map, knocking down enemies, dashing through the tunnel, conquering their base etc. I prefer this style of playing on this map as it is more dominant and would pose you as a bigger threat to their Team.

Defence --> The more common way which is taken by Team 1 Soldiers. This refers to staying within the 'Shooting Range' (The term explained later) and trying to snipe Team 2. Most of the games in City Zone revolve around this phenomena, of Team 1 defending their base while Team 2 pressing them harder in.

It is totally your choice over what you want to take. I am an impatient kind of guy, I need to jump and dash around so I choose attack! But the more 'patient' ones who like to protect their base can take the Defensive Style.

The Shooting

Range

The Main Area of the City Zone. Most of the games of this map are seen revolving around this area. I would recommend Team 1 Players to Step Out of this place and try to 'Attack'. The Win of Team 1 depends on 2 things :

1. If there are players who attack Team 2 and avoid getting Spawn Trapped.

2. If there are campers here who can camp on the Shooting Range for the whole game and lead their team to a joyful victory ! I smell THOR here !

In Short, this is an important part of this map and thus the very first Location I mention.

The Crate of the Conquerer

The Leaning

Container

I would like to call it the Crate of the Conqerer/Camper. This is one of the important spots popularly chosen by my Hated Breed - Campers. Sorry if you love this spot, but that was my view! Actually it's a good Spot to pick some kills for a kick start or simply grab some grab some cover in case your Team is getting Banged in the Shooting Range, which is Usually the scene in this map.

It is a good spot if you know how to save your @$$ and are a quick Sniper. Actually, you need to be a good Sniper or a Good Camper to get Good Scores on this Map. I prefer taking this spot at times when my Base has been trapped. This helps me grab a few Kills and even Clear my View.

The Fence

I am Covering so many spots in Team 1 Base because this would come Handy. As I have previously mentioned, Team 1 is usually getting Trapped in games at this Map. Thus, you should know spots which you can take to knock out Team 2 out of the Shooting Range. This Fence would also act as a good Spot. You are in vision of Team 2 Players but you have an equal vision of them, so the quicker guy wins.

NOTE : After you have eliminated all the Opponents have taken up your base, I suggest 'stepping out'... You would enjoy the game a lot as Team 1 if you step out. Move around in the Tunnel, the Alleys, their Base and such places. This would give meaning to this Map's other Locations and would add an interesting Touch to the Game. That was my view, but you could still stick your arse up there! :-P

The Medic

Crack!

Ok! Now I have eliminted all my enemies and have managed to walk across to the Middle of the Shooting Range. But now the nubs are back! What to do? How to Survive?

This is a very important place and you 'Have To' take it when your Team has got Trapped. If you have thought to move ahead, you could take the Left Side direct into their face, which you may loose at times if they're more in Quantity. There is another place you must already be using - This Crack.

It is a pretty useful place, knock visible enemies quickly and move out through it. Another Option is taking the Tunnel which would be described in the Next Section.

Tunnel!

This is a Must-To-Use in your game. Sometimes Team 2 is so busy in Trapping you that this Tunnel will act as a Saviour for you to get behind them and give them a bang. But beware, you might find a Group of Enemies in there as well! You need to keap your ears alert for that, and use your grenade whenever required. You need to be good in close-range combat if you want to survive in the Tunnel full of enemies!

You can ambush your Enemy Base entering from this Tunnel.

The Fork

If you proceed straight, you would see this space. According to me, this is one of the most interesting places in this map. As Team 1, if you are able to conquer this area, then the game is in your hand. You need to be agile and alert. There are two ways to take from here, Left Alley and Right Alley. The Crates in between would act as cover. You need to be a good Rusher to Survive further. You may stay here and knock enemies, and then return to base/take the tunnel or 'Proceed Further'... Take their base, trouble Team 2 harder! This is fun, believe me...

Jeep

By Jeep I don't mean go n Stand on that Black thing and keep Shooting. Jeep actually symbolises the whole area, like a Landmark. This refers to the 'Ground Area' in Team 2 Base. You need to be a quick killer and fast rusher to survive this area. Don't stay in one place. Because once I spawn, I would try to find you in that place. People don't like surprises in their base, so we would try to give them that ;-) All the Best surviving Team 2 Base. You should also promote your Team to attack, one man can not walk around with a Gun Owning the Game, he needs support.

Rush!

Now, Rush Around nub! Become a Storm in their Base. You might get eventually killed, but by that time you might have 10-15 or more without noticing, I'm serious. Sometimes I go negative on this Map trying to Rush but Score has never bothered me (My K/D tells it, which I never reset) Leaving that apart, you must have understood that what have I tried to convey you doing as Team 1. The Choice is yours, Cheers.

I wanted to share an incident which happened yesterday. I was playing a game and Shreenath and I had Owned Team 2 Base completely, no one was able to step out. And when I died and spawned at my Spawn... A sight met my eyes which amused me a lot. Shree n I were dying laughin! Everybody else in our Team (5 people) had taken up their places all around the Spawn. All of them had scopes ON and were waiting for some enemies to come. Oh Man!! LOOOOOOOL! I hope you're not that kind of a guy and take this way ;-)

Team 2

As per my view, this Team has got an Edge over Team 1 - Because it is easier to Spawn Trap T1.

Team 2 has two Options as well, which are similar to those of Team 1 but I give them more straightforward/different names :

Camp --> The Common way as usual, on this Map. There are places on The Shooting Range where you could keep camping the Whole Game and make it boring. It's not you to blame, it's a stereotype for this Map. With this Guide, I am also trying to promote different Styles to play on this Map.

Bang 'Em --> It's fun to bang into their base and ambush them. Rushing for Team 2 is very different than the latter because Team 1 mostly stays confined to their base. Thus you would need to be straightforward in Rushing. I would cover those things in Detail later in this Guide.

Let us Proceed nub.

Barriers

This might be one of the First things you see. I recommend this place if Team 1 has come out of their base. It's a preferred cover and you can slowly proceed taking the Proceeding Crates as cover. There is some Straw Thing on the Right on which Players like to hide. But I would say "Nah. You are clearly visible and I always give that a look while walking and so might others. Thus nope!"

2 Crates

This is a nice little Spot which will act as Cover in situations of a Fiery Team 1. Even though I recommend coming out of your base, this seemed like an interesting Spot and might come into use. This would give you Hold of the Side Alley (Right for you and Left for them) I recommend this place in specific situations.

On The Right is another picture of the same spot, giving a view of the Scene which is visible from here. As you can see, The End Alley is totally visible from here and this place would be ideal for Capturing that spot.

Alleys

One of the most important elements of the game, which can't be ignored here at all. Both of the Alleys -> End Alley and Middle Alley are equally important and play a Pivotial Role in the Victory of a Team. You could take the Barriers and Crates as cover while Hopping around here.

Shooting Range

This is a nice little Spot which will act as Cover in situations of a Fiery Team 1. Even though I recommend coming out of your base, this seemed like an interesting Spot and might come into use. This would give you Hold of the Side Alley (Right for you and Left for them) I recommend this place in specific situations.

The Shooting Range begins from here and goes on till the Area I described in Team 1 Segement.  This Crate and the Crate you can see on the Left Side act as Massive and Irritating Cover to Team 2 Players. You could stop by here to knock a Few Heads and proceed further. Don't stay on one place for long.

Critical

         Spot

This area, including the Stairs, Containers etc. comprise of the Critical Spot. There might be Several Snipers hardscoping at some Randmon Spot you may walk into - so Be Careful! You need to be a Quick Sniper and a Tactical Player to Survive this area. From here, you may :

  1. Stay here for some time and Snipe some nubs.

  2. Pick up some Health on the Medic if needed (Dangerous) and Proceed from the Crack!

  3. Take the Tunnel towards your base. You may ambush some of them from Behind or just save yourself if you're low on Health or Confidence!

  4. Bang 'Em. This is fun but you need to be quick in killing and tactical. I will describe how to survive further in this ahead in the Walkthrough.

Tunnel

As I said earlier, the Tunnel could act as a 'Shortcut to the Spawn' You have to be ready for adversary you may meet here or just as you step out, and you also have to decide before hand if you're gon'na enter their base, stay near the containers, retreat after a few kills or Chew a Grenade.

Rush!

This is going to be Fun! Enter their base. There are some things I recommend.

  1. Be careful. Anyone could be shooting from anywhere - you have to look around and shoot all adversary.

  2. Be Quick. Don't take much time in Knocking down enemies. You are the main attention of everybody in Team 1 so you have to be Quick.

  3. Be Crazy! Yeah, I suggest doing crazy things around here. Jump around, kill them as they Spawn, jump around the Fences, the Pipes, The Container. You will confuse your Opponents and you will get the maximum kills before dying (Most Probably you would soon)

You could give This Video a look to know what I am really talking about!
